Starting from unintentionally clicking on a short clip in my YouTube recommendation list, I was completed hooked by this amazing TV show. Though I have watched almost every single episode many times, I still can't resist the temptation of clicking onto a clip randomly popped up in my YouTube homepage. It seems like there is some hidden power from the show that keeps dragging me towards it. I can't help but starting to explore the Giggity of the show and here are some reasons which I believe makes this popular animated sitcom so addictive.

Come to think of it, it seems that anything is possible to happen in the universe of Family Guy. Even the most usual beginning can result in the most ridiculous yet funny ending for some only-logical-in-family-guy reasons. There are often absurd reasons that makes things go even worse but somehow everything turns out just fine, like the episode when Peter, Joe, Cleveland and Quagmire's plane flying from San Francisco back home was hijacked but they manage to land safely despite the fact that a fighter aircraft was about to shoot it down as Peter looked like the Hijacker holding a passenger hostage. We always love to see something unexpected to happen in the show, same reason we love to see Peter Griffin to do something unexpected to make the situation even worse.

While cartoon logic makes things look like they come from nowhere, family guy manages to make them somehow relatable. Whether they are movie references or internet memes or celebrity jokes, they seem like part of our real life. The fact that a huge celebrity we all love appears randomly in an ordinary family like the Griffins is just so unusually awesome. Remember how Taylor Swift became Chris's homecoming partner and Stephen Curry let Peter to sit on his lap during postgame press conference? These familiar faces and memes are the reasons we keep watching and waiting for them to appear. Not to mention that any memes or jokes tend to be overly exaggerate in a hilarious but not too awkward manner.

'Every story started with ideas, but it is the characters that move these ideas forward'. Every good story relies on well-defined characters. Family Guy has achieved this exceptionally well. Each individual has his or her unique personality which distinguish from yet goes along with each other. Peter was is an alcoholic which lacks reasonable judgement and often causes troubles to others. Stewie Griffin, his son on the other hand, is a child genius with dream of dominating the world but still demonstrate the naiveté of any child like his inseparable relation with his teddy bear. Stewie often spoke sophisticated words which can only be understood by none other than Brian Griffin, a rational but pretentious dog work as a freelance author. Though our preference for each character may vary, all of them are undeniably funny in certain way.

All in all, family guy is a great show no doubt and its potential is limitless. Start watching the show and I am sure you will gradually fall in love with it. But remember not to rush because...
